This is a forward-looking lecture designed to inspire dental professionals to embrace the transformative potential of technology while recognizing the irreplaceable value of a strong, aligned team. Over the next five years, groundbreaking advancements in dentistry will redefine patient care, practice management, and overall efficiency. This session will spotlight five major technology trends that are poised to reshape the industry, with a particular focus on the game-changing roles of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and 3D printing. Attendees will gain insight into how these tools can revolutionize diagnostics, treatment planning, and even the way dental prosthetics are created, ultimately enhancing the patient experience and improving outcomes.
While technology offers immense promise, the success of its implementation hinges on the people within the practice. This lecture emphasizes the critical importance of building a team that understands and shares the dentist’s vision of the future. A well-informed and empowered team will be the driving force behind realizing the full potential of new technology. Attendees will leave this lecture with a dual perspective: a roadmap of the technologies that will redefine dentistry and a playbook for cultivating a team dynamic that can embrace and implement these advancements effectively. The integration of cutting-edge tools like AI and 3D printing will only be as impactful as the people who wield them. By combining visionary leadership with a focus on teamwork, dentists can build practices that thrive in the rapidly evolving landscape of modern dentistry. This is the opportunity to shape a practice that not only meets the challenges of tomorrow but also exceeds the expectations of today’s patients.
Imagine walking into your dental practice five years from now and realizing that nearly every aspect of patient care, from diagnostics to final restorations, has been transformed by technology. That future isn’t as distant as it seems. This is a lecture designed to equip dental professionals with the foresight and tools needed to navigate this exciting new era of innovation. By embracing these advancements strategically and with the support of a skilled team, dentists can position their practices as leaders in the evolving landscape of modern dentistry.
This lecture dives deep into five cutting-edge technologies revolutionizing dentistry: Artificial Intelligence (AI), 3D printing, in-house design technology for both 3D printing and milling, new laser technologies, and advancements in 3D scanning. AI is redefining diagnostics and treatment planning by providing unprecedented precision and predictive insights. Meanwhile, 3D printing is taking restorative and prosthetic dentistry to new heights with unparalleled accuracy, speed, and customization. Coupled with in-house design and milling tools, practices can take full control of their workflows, improving efficiency and patient satisfaction. The advent of next-generation laser technologies offers minimally invasive treatment options for soft and hard tissue procedures, while advanced 3D scanners streamline impressions and digital workflows, bringing unmatched accuracy and ease to every step of care.
Beyond understanding these technologies, the lecture emphasizes the importance of strategic implementation. Integrating change is a practice-wide transformation that hinges on the engagement and collaboration of the entire dental team. Attendees will explore practical approaches to evaluate which technologies align with their practice goals, create a phased plan for adoption, and cultivate a team culture that embraces change. With the right knowledge and preparation, these innovations can drive significant growth, enhance patient outcomes, and future-proof your practice in a rapidly advancing field.
With FDA approval of new 3D printing resins that are indicated for use in procedures such as dentures and permanent crowns, dentists have never been in a better position to give time-sensitive and affordable options to their patients.
Proper understanding of this emerging technology not only gives money-conscious patients esthetic options not previously possible, but also gives general dentists the opportunity to become a hero to patients who might have chosen less than ideal treatment.
The goal of this lecture is to give attending dentists and team members the opportunity to walk away with the knowledge, tools, and strategies to start using 3D printing technology in their practices. 3D printing can be used to facilitate model creation, denture fabrication, surgical implant guide production, and more affordable clear aligner therapy options, plus many more applications that will improve clinical quality and patient satisfaction for general dentists. 3D printing also provides opportunities to provide fast and inexpensive charitable dentistry like never before and Dr. Griffin will share how he routinely prints over 25 partial and immediate dentures per day at events like Mission of Mercy.
What if every patient who walked into your practice received care so precise and personalized that their outcomes felt nothing short of extraordinary? This lecture explores how Artificial Intelligence is revolutionizing dentistry by enhancing patient outcomes in ways we never thought possible. From pinpointing early signs of dental issues with unparalleled accuracy to creating perfectly tailored treatment plans in seconds, AI empowers dental professionals to deliver a level of care that is faster, more precise, and more effective. This lecture will reveal how AI is not just improving workflows but redefining what exceptional patient care looks like in the modern dental practice.
In this session, attendees will uncover the lesser-known capabilities of AI, from designing restorative crowns, dentures, models, or nightguards, to automating patient interactions. Imagine AI software that assists in creating precise, custom prosthetics in a fraction of the time it takes now, or systems that answer common patient questions, schedule appointments, and guide prospective new patients—all without adding to the workload of your existing team. This lecture goes beyond surface-level knowledge to show how AI can transform both clinical and operational workflows, empowering practices to deliver better results while optimizing efficiency.
Attendees will leave this lecture equipped with actionable insights into how to harness the power of AI for their own practices. Whether it’s incorporating AI-driven diagnostic tools to improve accuracy, leveraging automation to handle routine administrative tasks, or integrating smart systems for patient communication, this session will provide a roadmap for adopting AI in a way that aligns with your practice’s unique goals. With AI as an ally, dental professionals can focus on building stronger patient relationships, driving practice growth, and staying ahead in a rapidly evolving field. This is the opportunity for dentists to unlock AI’s full potential and transform their practices for the future.
The majority of dentists have similar clinical concerns when deciding if investing in a new piece of dental technology is worth the effort and cost? Is it supported if it breaks? Will my team be onboard with my decision? What will I miss out on if I wait to make a decision later? Dr. Griffin’s presentations help dental professionals gain the skills and understanding to become proactive and early adopters who can realize great gains in their practice’s productivity and efficiency before most dentists realize they have missed out on a great opportunity.
Dr. Chris Griffin graduated dental school in 1998 and has encountered many trials over the years, including the total loss of his practice to fire and the massive effort to rebuild from scratch a decade ago. This has provided invaluable clinical and real-world experience that has shaped his view of patient care and practice management. Dr. Griffin lectures on the subjects of dental technology, restorative dentistry, implant dentistry, clear aligner orthodontics, digital dentures, and team leadership. He serves as the Founder and President of the 3D Printing Association for dentists and is active in Mission of Mercy and other charitable dental organizations. Dr. Griffin was named Humanitarian of the Year by the Mississippi Dental Association and a Fellow by the Academy of General Dentistry and the International Dental Implant Association. Dr. Griffin received a Certificate in AI in Healthcare from Harvard Medical School Executive Program in 2024, has been peer-reviewed published twice, and is proud to have a couple of “firsts” in dentistry. He delivered the first ever lecture in the world on digital 3D printed dentures in 2015 and delivered the first ever immediate denture at a Mission of Mercy event in 2024. He brings clear, straightforward, down-to-Earth principles and systems that practitioners can understand and implement immediately when they go back to their practices after the event.

"We had Chris speak at my annual sleep event last year, and when we looked at the surveys, I read exactly what I expected. Chris was a big hit, bringing a fresh perspective, not heard anywhere else, with a non-assuming and humble technique. He brings a very practical approach that would help any practice improve their systems and productivity. If you want attendees to enjoy a presentation with meat, which will logically have them raving about your efforts in creating a meaningful event, you can’t go wrong with Chris!"
—Dr. Kent Smith, Founder of 21st Century Sleep Seminars, Meeting Planner
"Chris is one of the most real-world, down to Earth, efficient dentists on the planet! The way he approaches scheduling and systems is genius. Chris is an amazing dentist, outstanding person, and truly one of dentistry’s thousand points of light. Chris was one of the highest rated speakers at our conference and I think having Chris present at your meeting would be a huge win for both the event and the attendees. No one will leave disappointed!"
—Dr. Howard Farran, CEO of Dentaltown and Host of Townie Meetings, Meeting Planner
"I asked Dr. Chris Griffin to present to my members during a webinar. My doctors were so thrilled with his presentation that I've since had him speak live at our Members' Fall Retreat, and, I've invited him to do another webinar this month. But the proof is in the actions taken by attendees. Several of my members have already begun shifting their focus to 3D-printed dentistry. Some are starting small, printing all of their clear aligners, while others are all-in printing most of their crowns. Chris is a down-to-earth, genuinely caring guy who delivers more and exceeds expectations. I would highly recommend Chris as a speaker at any dental meetings."
—Dr. Tom Orent, Founder of 1000 Gems Seminars, Meeting Planner
"After just one day I realize how this conference will impact my practice. I’m so glad I brought some staff with me to implement what we have learned so we WILL NOT FAIL. Chris Griffin 'has got it going on like Donkey Kong' with his staff and his practice. He assembled a great agenda and is delivering the tools that will put practices over the top; things GPs should and must do to better serve their patients – which should be our ultimate goal. You take care of your patients and you will be blessed! Excellent conference – make plans to come next year or any event Chris is at! You won’t be disappointed."
—Dr. Mike McCartney
"If the speaker at session 2 is Chris Griffin, I highly recommend you attend. He really blew me away with his simple error free organizational ideas, policy and procedures, ways to become insurance independent and digital workflow just to name a few. His one lecture was a true game changer for my operations. One of the best I’ve ever heard!"
—Dr. Greg Moore
"How fortunate I am to have come across Chris Griffin. I had the same problems that most of us have had at some point in our practices: crazy scheduling, hectic days, inconsistency with room set-ups, staff issues, and the list goes on. Dr. Griffin and his team helped bring order and structure to my work days, and now my team and I run like a well-oiled machine. It will always be a work in progress, but now we have the specific systems in place to make our jobs easier and more enjoyable. My team and I appreciate all that we have learned at all the meetings that we have attended. Thank you Dr. Griffin!"
—Dr. Paige Lester
"I recommend Dr. Griffin for these reasons: 1. Very practical and useful advice. He has spent a ton of time, money, and effort testing technology and systems. By learning his systems, I don’t have to. 2. Very personable. Even after the class he is happy to answer with any advice I ask. 3. Honest, genuine, and authentic. Not every speaker is this way. He is just a down-to-Earth guy who loves what he does and likes to share it with other doctors. That’s why I like him a lot."
—Dr. Henry Sung
"We came to the course today to freshen up on our organizational skills and I truly must say it was very good for my team, we feel we’ve got a lot accomplished today. I would recommend it to any dentist that’s truly motivated to make the next step forward in their practice."
—Dr. Stephen DeLoach, Dickson
