You Didn’t Get It Wrong. You Got a Mirror.

(by Vanessa Emerson, FDSI)

There’s a conversation that keeps finding its way to me lately. Quietly at first, then louder, then impossibly clear.   It’s a whisper from within and echoed by others – the reminder:  What if this is all happening in service of my growth and development?

Not in a toxic positivity kind of way.  Not in a “just be grateful” or “everything happens for a reason” voice that bypasses pain.   But in a deeper, almost cellular recognition that I am a powerful co-creator in partnership with something greater than myself.

That everything – even the unwanted, the uncomfortable, the sharp-edged experiences – has been shaped by my energy, my focus, my vibration, or my silence.

That’s a confronting thought. Especially when we are in the middle of grief, loss, betrayal, uncertainty, or fear.   Because let’s be real: who would choose that?

But this isn’t about blame.  This is about conscious responsibility – owning our vibration, our awareness, our part in what we’ve called into form.

The Law of Attraction amplifies the energy we hold most consistently.  The clearer and more intentional our thoughts, the more aligned our results.  And when we’re not actively choosing our focus,  we create by default.   Worry becomes our order. Fear becomes our vision board. Indecision becomes a magnet for more uncertainty.  We don’t do it on purpose. We do it unconsciously.

And yet, even that is a gift.   Contrast is not failure.   Contrast is feedback.  Contrast is the classroom of creation.  Without contrast, how would we learn what we do want? How would we find clarity? How would we refine our resonance?

So, you didn’t get it wrong. You got a mirror. You got a map. You got an opportunity to pause and say, If I created this, what else am I capable of creating?

And that is the moment it all begins to shift.
